Twitter 將在本周二launch新的廣告機制「Promoted Tweets」：廣告主可以將其廣告訊息放在 Twitter 的訊息流之中，使用者會在搜尋結果、第三方 Twitter 軟體中看到這些 promoted tweets 廣告訊息。廣告訊息本身長得和所有使用者發送的訊息一樣，但來源會標示為「Promoted by XXX」，如下圖。
比較有趣的是這個廣告背後的 social 機制。一開始時，廣告價格會以 CPM 來計算，但 Twitter 打算導入類似 Digg.com 廣告的 social 計價機制。

Plurk Plurk has gained popularity in Taiwan since its launch in June 2008.. How did the oringinal idea of Plurk come out? Why people love Plurk so much? And what are the coming plan for Plurk in the future? Yesterday I met Alvin Woon, the UI designer of Plurk, and he talked a lot of interesting things about Plurk, now sharing with all Plurk lovers.

Q: Why you guys want to launch a website like Plurk?
A: We think we need a better commnication tool. It has to be real time, and no pressure to reply. Email is not so real time, and you have pressure to reply as soon as possible when you talk on IM. (閱讀全文…)

Q：為什麼會想要做Plurk這樣的網站？
A：我們很想做一個好用的溝通工具，最好是又即時，又沒有壓力。Email不夠即時，即時通訊有回應的壓力，而且不方便讓一群人同時聊天，所以才想到可以來做這樣一個網站。
在噗浪上，你可以自言自語，也可以和朋友對話，有話就說，沒有壓力；我們也很重視聊天的隱私，所以可以在噗浪上發私噗，不會被不相干的人看到。 (閱讀全文…)
